updates since last: working at CHOP now and nostalgic of the days when working 9-5 was a silly notion.  living in a really cool summer sublet with really cool peeps.  we keep talking about throwing a house warming party -- i'm sure we will eventually before the summer is over.  graduated and missing some people a lot.  things just won't be the same anymore.

so i went to a vietnamese wedding this weekend with my mom.  my dad was supposed to go w/ her, but he hates these kind of things so he made me go with her instead.  he owes me BIG.  it was incredubly boring, especially since i had to sit at a table full of old folks.  but i made some observations about the vietnamese people and our culture while being bored.  i've noticed that there were many really pretty and good looking vietnamese chicks, but can barely count the number of good looking vietnamese guys on one hand.  also, some of these hot chicks were with some of the biggest losers.  all the guys did was drink and act really dumb (absolutely no maturity, even the old croons) and the women had to take care of them.  at the end of the night, i saw all the women dragging their men to their cars and driving them home.  maybe this explains why i haven't gone out with a vietnamese guy yet.  also, vietnamese people love to gossip -- and brag!  good grief!  i must have went to the bathroom 20 times just to get away from all the talk!  another thing i noticed is that vietnamese weddings aren't about the bride and the groom -- it's about their folks.  throughout the entire wedding, the bride and groom barely said 2 words.  their parents did all the talking.  really, i truly believe that the entire concept of these weddings is for the parents to show off to their friends how many people they know and how extravagant of a party they can throw.  vietnamese weddings are silly, very very silly.

will be going to ocean city this weekend.  my old roommie got a house on the beach and we will be chilling there for the whole weekend.  yay beach!

i have to say that i work with some of the best-looking, coolest and nicest souls.  they refuse to let me be a nerd and partying w/ them is always a good time.  rock on.

some updates: still no job and many more interviews to go, still looking for a summer sublet, still love Jesus (happy easter!), still working my ass off just to have this last semester over with, still fighting entropy.

oh and i won 2nd place for the undergraduate creative writing department contest for poetry.  come see me read some of my poems at the writers house on april-i-cant-remember-the-exact-date.
